Pedigrees.

The pedigrees are not issued by the Spanish Rottweilerclub but by the national kennelclub of Spain (Real Sociedad Canina de España)

Pedigrees are issued to puppies with known origin (= of which the parents have a pedigree) but there is no obligation to have an examination of the hips or elbows of the breeding-animals.

The Real Sociedad Canina de España must be notified of the birth of the pups within 30 days.    Then a second  written request must be sent to have the pups registred.    All pups must be identified.     The Real Sociedad Canina de España assigns a L.O.E. (number of the dog in the Spanish Origins Book) for each registred puppy.     Once the pup has been assigned its L.O.E.-number, the owner can ask for the pedigree.   The request to have the pup registred must be done within six months after its birth.    Once this period has passed, it is no longer possible to have the pup registred or to obtain a pedigree.

If the mating is done outside of Spain, the breeder must send a copy of the males pedigree together with a certificate of the breeding.

The national kennelclub know only one kind of pedigree.
