Dear Rottweiler Friends,

New Year is almost there, so is the moment to reflect on the IFR-events 2011.

The first event was the World show and the congress in Moscow on 26.-28. May. We thank our friends of the Russian Rottweilerclub for their great efforts and for being a good host.

Unfortunately, the entries for the world show did not reach the numbers of previous years. The reason might be complications in obtaining the necessary a visa, which was also the reasson why some delegates had to cancel their participation to the congress.

The Klubshow of the Allgemeiner Deutscher Rottweiler Klub (ADRK) is a magnet for all Rottweiler amateurs in the world. Therefore it was obvious to plan the dates for the meeting of breedwardens and for the round-table for judges from member countries close to that date and location.

The high interest for the participation to the seminar for breedwardens, confirms its importance, not only for new issues on the agenda but especially for the necessity of breeding regulations. In the future these seminars will be intensivated and will include especially those member countries, which do not have any regulations regarding breeding. In this connection I would like to point to our Convention, especially to § 2 "Purpose and Tasks".

The so called seminar for judges again was participated by many judges and this exchange of facts and opinions regarding the breedstandard of the Rottweiler and the worldwide evolution of the breed will be continued in the future. I want to express my sincere thanks to Dirk Vandecasteele who took the chair at both meetings.

The last event was the World Championship IPO III. The Rottweiler Club Italy was our host from 21. - 23. October. 56 participants from 16 nations came to Vigolzone to compete in an atmosphere of great sportmanship for the titles of best team and best individual competitor in parts A, B and C. Allthough some luck in drawing ones competition number may have its influence, it is especially the condition of the day that is decisive for ones performances and all will agree that we were withness to a fair competition.

At the end of the year I want to thank everybody who hosted these events and especially those Rottweiler friends, who visited the events and those who participated in the events and showed the world the Rottweiler as well as in his exterieur as in his working abilities.

Let's look forward to the New Year and please note already the following dates:

28. - 29 April IFR Worldshow in Spain (close to Barcelona)
04. - 06. May Helper seminar in Cologne under the direction of Jörg Bungarten
18.-19. August World Championship IPO III in Germany, hosted by the local group Rottweil-South in Rottweil
17. August Meeting of breedwarden and judges in Germany (Rottweil)

Bald ist das Jahr 2011 Vergangenheit und es ist schon Tradition, noch einmal über die Veranstaltungen der IFR zu berichten.
Den Anfang machte die Weltschau und der Kongress vom 26. bis 28. Mai in Moskau. Unsere Rottweilerfreunde aus Russland gaben sich viel Mühe und waren ein sehr guter Gastgeber. Die Meldungen für die Weltschau blieben leider weit unter denen der Vorjahre zurück. Gründe hierfür schreiben wir den komplizierten Einreisebestimmungen zu. Gleiches gilt für Delegierte, die ebenfalls über schwierige Visa-Beschaffung klagten und letztendlich ihre Teilnahme absagen mussten.
Die Klubsiegerzuchtschau des Allgemeinen Deutschen Rottweiler Klubs (ADRK) ist ein Magnet aller Rottweilerfreunde in der Welt. Es lag also nahe, die von der IFR geplanten Termine für das Zuchtwarte-Seminar bzw. die Gesprächsrunde für Richter der verschiedenen Mitgliedsländer zeit- und ortsnah zu legen. Das große Interesse am Zuchtwarteseminar bestätigt, dass der Austausch über verschiedene Zuchtregularien nicht nur neue Anregungen gab, sondern ebenfalls die Notwendigkeit von Zuchtregularien aufzeigte. Diese Seminare sollen in Zukunft intensiviert werden und vor allem die Mitgliedsländer einbinden, die über keinerlei Regularien über Zuchtvoraussetzungen verfügen. In diesem Zusammenhang verweise ich auf die Konvention der IFR, hier § 2 "Zweck und Aufgaben".
Der Wunsch nach Gedankenaustausch in einem sogenannten Richter-Seminar wurde durch die hohe Anzahl von teilnehmenden Zuchtrichtern bestätigt und auch für die Zukunft gewünscht. An dieser Stelle danke ich besonders meinem Vorstandskollegen Dirk Vandecasteele, der beide Seminare souverän leitete.
Die Abschlussveranstaltung der IFR war dann die Weltmeisterschaft IPO III. Der Rottweiler Club Italien war vom 21. bis 23. Oktober unser Gastgeber. 56 Teilnehmer aus 16 Nationen waren nach Vigolzone gekommen, um im sportlichen Wettstreit die besten Mannschaften und die Besten der einzelnen Abteilungen bewerten zu lassen. Nicht nur Tagesform sondern auch Losglück können die Vorführungen beeinflussen, aber auf Weltebene wurde faire Sportlichkeit demonstriert.
Mir bleibt zum Ende des Jahres allen zu danken, die die Veranstaltungen ausgerichtet haben und besonders denen, die durch ihre Teilnahme und Besuche der Welt den Rottweiler sowohl in Form als auch Leistung gezeigt haben.
