Recognised by the Italian Kennel Club as a Special Society in 1982 and the only Rottweiler Club in Italy.

Pedigrees.

Only the Italian Kennelclub E.N.C.I. issues pedigrees, not the Italian Rottweilerclub.
The kennelclub only knows one kind of pedigree and is a full member of the FCI.

The number of Rottwerlers in Italy is estimated at 40.000 :

Approximately 15 % of these pups are registrated by members of the Italian Rottweilerclub

Littercontrols.

The national kennelclub organises littercontrols but only verifies the number of the pups, but not eventual health or disqualifying faults.

Breedingregulations.

The Italian Rottweilerclub does not impose breedingregulations on its members.
However, only dogs that have passed the Italian ZtP (breedsuitability test, simular to the ADRK-test, can be awarded the national title of Italian Champion.
The test is therefore recognised by the national kennelclub ENCI.

Clubtitles.

The title of clubsieger can be awarded to the best male and female in the show "Campionato Sociale de Allevamento" but only on the condition :
that the dog has passed the Italian ZtP-test
that the dog passes a charactertest simular to Sch. H. I - intensity, the day before the show
that the owner is a member of the Italian Rottweilerclub
should the dog however not meet all these conditions, the best dog will be Best in Show but the second dog, if he/she meets the conditions, will be awarded the title of Italian Clubsieger.



Dogrelated legislation.
Breedspecific legislation is a political issue at the moment. We expect legislative initiative in very short notice.
