Founded : januari 1992

Form : juridical unit according to the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria.

Member of BRFC, FCI and IFR (since 1994).

Members : 66 (in the year 2002 : 98)

Membershipfee : 

• New members : 15 + $ 7,50

• Old members - $ 7,50  

Conditions to become a member : 

• Each applicant should present three recommendations by present members of NKR.

• He must not be a member of an organisation, outside the structures of BRFC.

• He must not be a professional trader of dogs as well as his family.

• He should not have lowered the prestige of the club.

• He is obliged to strictly observe the articles of association and the regulations of NKR.

• He must have completed the age of 18 years according the laws in the Republic of Bulgaria.

Accountability : The incomes of the club are received from the funds, collected as membership dues, fees for tattoos, pedigrees, probation and exhibitions, sponsoring. During 2000 the incomes amount to $ 3000 and the expenses are $ 2500.  

We have an excellent relationship with all the breed clubs in Bulgaria. We actively work together in different committees of BRFC, help each other in organising different meetings of dog lovers, we are members of organisations for protection of animals.

The Rottweiler is already well known in Bulgaria owing to the activity of NKR. The club aims some more popularity, spreading and clear race breeding of healthy Rottweilers.     All what you will learn on this page is achieved owing to the nearly 10 years work of the enthusiasts in the club.

We are all sure that our favourite Rottweiler will fascinate the hearts of more addicts of dogs as home favourite and escort and as dog for sport.

Pedigrees - littercontrols.

The pedigrees are issued by the Bulgarian Rottweiler Club.

For the period of existence of NKR in the Breeding Book 600 Rottweilers have been entered . 

With this number they are at the 2^nd place after the German shepherd dog.   For the framework of our small country with sparse population and still with present economic crisis, this number of dogs is a very good achievement.

Also very strictly observed are the requirements for entering into the Breeding Book of NKR and BRFC, which are conform to the regulations of FCI.  

The local Rottweilers are entered only if:

• Their owners are members of NKR.

• They are bred according the regulations of the NKR and namely:

• Their parents have FCI pedigree with at least 3 belts;

• They has defended an exam for dog-escort (socialisation) – BH;

• They have able-bodied for breeding pelvic-thigh articulations – HD frei or HD +/- and status for the elbow articulations – ED (in force since January 1998). The X-ray examination is made at the completed age of 15 months.

• They should have 2 marks given to them from two different referees at club, international or national exhibition, respectively for: male dogs – minimum mark “Excellent”, and for female dogs – minimum mark “Very Good”;

• They should have defended publicly an exam for breeding suitability – ZTP;

• They should have reached the age for breeding, respectively for: male dogs – 24 months, and for female dogs 20 months;

• They must have diligently filled documents for the relation.

The imported Rottweilers are entered only if they have pedigree (Pedigree-Export) issued by the country-member of FCI or such, which has a partnership with it.  

Littercontrols :

Only to offspring get of such relation, the relevant selectionist of NKR performs two inspections and at the second inspection (at the age of the puppies of 45-50 days) he tattoos them. Only such puppies are entered into the breeding Book of NKR and BRFC and they receive issued pedigrees.  

  Numbers :

50 puppies are born average annual from relations under the control of NKR. 

Their price varies from $ 50 - $ 500 in accordance of that who their parents are and what the perspective is. The perspective puppies from stockbreeding farms with a good image are sold even without a commercial in the specialised publications.

  Clubchampionship title.

The organised “Club Championship” is at a very high level every year. Referees at our championships have been very notable men who are interested in Rottweilers as: Willi Hedtke (Deutchland), Paul Flaige (Deutschland), Slobodan Miloshevski (Macedonia), Franz Schaaf (Holland), Pavel Shanilets (Czech) etc. Their general opinion is that the organisation of the exhibition and the dogs do not defer to these in Germany.         See further : activities.

Breedingregulations.

All our dogs that are allowed for breeding observe the requirements of ADRK, which are also requirements of NKR. 

All of them are with conclusions for able-bodied for breeding pelvic-thigh articulations – HD and since January 1998 also elbow articulations - ED.   We do not have any registered dog with aberrations in ED by now. 

We do not allow for breeding also dogs showing even the slightest state of aggression, fear or other problems in their behaviour. 

The club Rottweilers are most titled dogs of C.A.C. and C.A.C.I.B. exhibitions. They have won the titles R-BIS and BIS many times. 

We do not record big mistakes in the setting of the tail, which we do not cut since 01.09.1998.  

Our breedsuitability-test is the ZtP of the ADRK.

National kennelclub.

The Bulgarian National Kennelclub is not affiliated to the FCI

Activities.

We regularly organise BH and ZTP, annually perform “Club Championship” with awarding of the title C.A.C. and at it we appoint Club Champions and Winners in the competitions “Best Stockbreeding Farm” and “Best Breeding Group”.        We promote the dogsport according to the IPO, BH and AD programs.

Dogrelated legislation.

At the moment, the Republic of Bulgaria does not know a dogrelated legislation.
